Following on from our introduction to regenerative farming indoor presentations with PEG and WAC last year, the two local environmental groups from Clifford Chambers and Preston on Stour, came together again for a practical guided walk and talk across the land. Visitors were introduced to the herd of Longhorn cows and their new calves, while we discussed our new organic composting system that is currently in operation on the estate, the different mixed leys being established across the farm and how they will improve soil structure, biodiversity and animal health. We also explored our tree planting projects, including the cricket bat willow nursery bed, and shared our longer-term ambitions to produce sustainable, high-quality food while continuing to regenerate the land.
