| The Bledisloe Gold Medal for Landowners 2011 has been awarded to Emma Holman-West’s Alscot Estate. The prestigious medal awarded by the Royal Agricultural Society of England goes to a landowner, who has demonstrated outstanding achievement in the successful land management and development of an agricultural estate in England. The presentation will take place in February 2012. |

Alscot Park was pleased to host the SBF first anniversary breakfast meeting on 8th February 2011. Main speaker Sir Peter Rigby delivered an excellent account of his individual business profile and local business entrepreneur Denys Shortt gave an introduction to Coventry and Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership http://www.cwlep.com/ . Guest speakers and Alscot business associates Robin Dickin and Will Hanrahan also delivered a talk to the audience of 120 guests, who gathered from leading local companies, charities and organisations.

| Alscot were pleased to donate the total sum of £400 to Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust, this was the monies paid by SBF to provide the breakfast for the 120 guests. |

Alscot was pleased to welcome Nadhim Zahawi MP to the estate on 12th November 2010 where he was introduced to a number of the Estate’s businesses including Thomas Crapper & Co, Chance and Wildish Architecture, Kijlstra UK, Savcon Precision Engineers and Wealmoor Ltd.
It provided a platform for the businesses to raise issues associated to their specialised field such as the forthcoming localism bill. It also provided the opportunity to raise awareness of their business i.e. Kijlstra are importing a new design of pipe to the UK which is now being used at the Olympic development, Wealmoor provided a jaw dropping tour of their new 150,000 sqft packing house to see all the fruits and vegetables from around the world being packed for major super markets across the country and Thomas Crapper explained about their plans for Global expansion. |

The event held on 6th and 7th December 2010 was a great success and with your help we have raised the fantastic amount of £9365.08 for Newborns in Need (HEFT) to assist with specialist care for vulnerable babies and St Mary’s Church, Preston on Stour for vital restoration works. |

Alscot was host to a Charity Clay Pigeon Shoot on 12th June supporting Help for Heroes and Multiple Sclerosis Society. David Hall has recently received a Long Service Award from the Royal Agricultural Society of England. The award was presented to David by Mrs Adel MacNicol in the Royal Pavilion Enclosure at Royal Show, Stoneleigh.
David’s long standing and varied role on the Estate involves tending to the livestock which include Jacob sheep, Fallow deer and a herd of Highland Cattle.
